B.O.L.D., G.L.O.W., Youth of Action & Character, Youth Empowerment Saturdays and Gents & Jewels of Character help young people grow in confidence, leadership and purpose.

Y.A.C. + Y.E.S.
Youth of Action & Character (Y.A.C.) and Youth Empowerment Saturdays (Y.E.S.) serve young people ages 8–18 through mentorship, leadership development, life-skills training and educational encouragement.
B.O.L.D. supports young men and G.L.O.W. supports young women. They are coordinated within MWCO’s youth programming and operate together for most experiences, with selected sessions and activities offered separately when the subject or developmental need calls for it.
Young men build integrity, discipline, leadership, brotherhood and a strong sense of purpose.
Young women build confidence, character, self-expression, wellness and leadership.
YOUTH PROGRAM • AGES 15–18
A culturally grounded rites-of-passage and youth-development program for young men and young women in grades 10–12, or an approved alternative pathway. From November 2026 through June 2027, participants build confidence, character, leadership and real-world skills through mentorship, workshops, college and career exploration, family traditions and 30 hours of community service.
The Rooted & Rising Ball celebrates participants’ growth at the end of the program. Mentorship, learning and service shape the full journey.

WHAT WE DO EACH YEAR
Trusted adults provide guidance, encouragement and consistent relationship-building throughout the year.
Y.E.S. brings young people together for interactive leadership, character, wellness and life-skills experiences.
Workshops build confidence, communication, decision-making, goal-setting, integrity and personal responsibility.
Youth receive academic motivation, scholarships when available and support to recognize their own potential.
Participants learn compassion and civic responsibility by serving neighbors and supporting MWCO outreach.
Age-appropriate sessions encourage self-care, healthy choices, emotional wellness and positive self-esteem.
Seasonal experiences, giving initiatives and special outings create joy, exposure and a sense of belonging.
The annual presentation event celebrates growth and serves as a shared rite of passage for participating young people.
